The NCRJ has been granted 501(c)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service and is a registered public charity in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The NCRJ's Board of Directors takes into serious considerstions your wishes to deposit your donation into a particular defense fund. We do our best to balance the desires of our donors with the needs of our grantees and the organization itself.
Our accountants, however, advise us that the IRS may disallow a tax deduction for an earmarked contribution, through us, to a particular defense fund. So unless you inform us that you will not be deducting the contribution, we cannot promise that all or any of your donation will go to the chosen fund. For more information on the tax laws governing such contributions, please consult your own accountant or lawyer.
The mailing address for the NCRJ is:
The National Center for Reason and Justice
POB 230414
Boston MA 02123-0414
If you wish to help us, checks should be made out to the National Center for Reason and Justice or to the NCRJ. If you wish to help a specific prisoner, please enclose a note and also let us know whether you will be claiming a tax deduction. You may request that your contribution be split among more than one prisoner.
We choose not to use PayPal. But you may also donate by credit card:
If you choose the credit-card option, you will be given the opportunity, following approval, to specify how your donation should be used and whether you plan to deduct.
